FRONTIER ULTRAGLIDE Long Stride Magnetic Elliptical Cross Trainer, German Quality, 3Yr WARRANTY

We went for a more expensive crosstrainer as we think its false economy going for a cheap one which has little resemblance to a gym model. The Ultraglide is superb. It glides along with no noise or squeeks unlike some of the cheaper crosstrainers. The stride lenth is 17 inches which is good & you can really feel it working your muscles. This really is a quality product & having used gym models we can safely say that this product easily feels just as good.Assembling the Ultraglide did look rather daunting at first but if you read the instructions & dont rush then it is very straightforward. We took our time assembling it & it took about 90 minutes.

There are loads of programs & setting to accomadate all users & to keep you motivated. This product is heavy which is good, as some of the lighter crosstrainers tend to wobble when in use.The Ultraglide is solid & has no wobble whatsoever. The flywheel is 22kg.Compare that to other models & you will see that it is much heavyer.Other models tend to be around 7kg-11kg.If you read what fitness instructers say about crosstrainers then you will see that they say that the heavyer the flywheel the smoother the workout. We are very pleased with our purchase & would reccomend it to anyone serious about keeping fit & healthy.

FRONTIER Olympus Max EXTENDABLE Long Stride Cross Trainer, German Quality, 3YR WARRANTY

I've been using this machine for a few months now and it really is as silky smooth and quiet as the ones in the gym. It arrived promptly and very well packed. It took only an hour or so to assemble, and was easier than
expected with step by step instructions.

I've been running for years and am really impressed by this reassuringly sturdy cross trainer. The multi-function touchscreen computer has a wide selection of programmes and modes, and the resistance is very progressive
over a wide range thanks to the better type of magnetic system. I also like that I'm not tied to dashing to the gym after work any more, and can now hop on the trainer whenever I wish to.

This really feels like gym equipment at an affordable price. Overall an excellent piece of kit that looks good and is easy to use. The next challenge is to get my husband on it!

I was after a decent cross trainer and have to say that I am delighted with this. Good quality, nice and quiet (once we realised that there was 2 screws we have forgot to tighten). The programmes are great to stop you getting bored and work you hard. Would definately recommend this. Make sure you have someone strong to help you put this together though as its very heavy!

By Lindsey Watson
Whether you are investing in a cross trainer or going to attempt to use one at your local gym, learning as much about the piece of equipment as you possibly can, will help you make the most out of each and every work out on the machine. Before you decide to try a work out on this machine, there are a few things that you need to be aware of. Use the tips below to help you when exercising on a cross trainer.

The longer you spend on the machine, the more effective it will be
Cross trainers are known as high calorie burning machines. While this is certainly true, the results will not come without effort. The longer you spend on the machine and the greater the intensity, the better results you will get.

A cross trainer is perfect for someone who has sustained an injury or who can no longer participate in high impact exercises. It will be very helpful in keeping you in shape and shedding those few extra pounds.

Use at least 5 times a week for the best results
For the best results, spend at least 30 to 45 minutes on the machine at least 5 times a week. Don't just purchase the machine and let it sit in your gym. Put it to use! Great results are yours for the taking if you are willing to put in the work.

Exercise programs
If you don't know where to start, take advantage of the pre-programmed exercises that will come with some of the higher quality cross trainers. They are workouts that have proven track records and can help get you where you want to be. If weight loss if your goal, choose the program that has the highest intensity and will burn the most calories.

Buy A Cross Trainer For A Good Cardio Workout At Home

By Lindsey Watson
If you are scanning the fitness equipment market for a low-impact cardio exercise machine, then Cross Trainers are possibly the best items that you can get. This device has been specifically designed to deliver a workout experience which puts minimal pressure on highly sensitive areas like joints, hips and knees and yet, as opposed to treadmills or other high-impact exercise equipments, allow users to enjoy a low-impact cardio workout, without inflicting any impact injury on the body.
Elliptical Cross Trainers also offer a dual training facility for the users. They combine both upper as well as lower body exercises into one single activity so that users can blend the utility of 2 exercise routines into one.

Cross Trainers, fitness experts are of the opinion, are supposedly the best equipment to perform low-impact cardiovascular exercise. The intensity of the workout is adequate enough to burn a good number of calories and at the same time speed up the metabolism to help lose weight fast. Additionally, the simultaneous arm and leg movement that the machine induces helps in toning the full body without putting too much pressure on joints and knees. This is primarily because of the unique design that it has. Its foot pedals are designed to naturally follow the leg motion of the user without compelling him to pull consciously at his weight, as is seen in the case of jogging or running on a treadmill.

The advantages of exercising on an Elliptical Cross Trainer far exceed the benefits of simple cardio. It can also -
  1. Burn more calories from fat than a treadmill
  2. A cross trainer work out session induces the use of more groups of muscles and a more intense experience is accomplished in much lesser a time.
Elliptical Cross Trainers come in varied styles and prices and when investing in one, it is very essential to check out some very important criteria:
  1. The model selected must match the functionality and usefulness that is planned out of it.
  2. It is always better to look for Cross Trainers which have electrical consoles to flash the heart rate and the workout status. This is very important for measuring the activity results and choosing the right resistance levels.
  3. The weight-bearing capability of the machine must be sufficient enough to support the weight of the user and render the perfect workout experience that he wishes to accomplish.
So if you are serious about getting in shape and want to exercise in the comfort of your own home a cross trainer makes great sense. Just make sure you avoid the big pitfall that many of us experience when buying home gym equipment - that your purchase does not end up gathering dust after just a couple of months!

Why You Should Consider a Cross Trainer

Body Sculpture BE6730G Programmable Magnetic Elliptical Strider Why You Should Consider a Cross Trainer

By Michael Thomas Johnson

Elliptical cross trainers have been about for several years now and continue to gain in level of popularity. One particular reason would be the improved quality which can be found in the majority of the current home versions. Traditionally, treadmill machines and stationary bikes were definitely the coaches of preference in home gym equipment for cardio health. This has stopped being necessarily true as elliptical cross trainers offer you several benefits which are not seen in either treadmill machines or exercise bikes. In addition to delivering a more total body workout, elliptical exercise machines also provide a greater exercise routine that mixes resistance training with a conventional aerobic program that to many people feels significantly less arduous than alternative work outs.

The earliest home types of elliptical cross trainers received much criticism for several reasons. To begin with, these were noisy and not normally anywhere close to as smooth operating as their gym counterparts. Folks who had been looking for that exact minimal impact workout they got at their neighborhood fitness center were disappointed in early elliptical cross trainers. This isn't accurate anymore.

Despite the fact that it is true that there is many models of inexpensive elliptical exercise machines being marketed that will not include an variable incline or any kind of resistance mechanism, this isn't the case with the vast majority of elliptical cross trainers available for use at home.

Elliptical machines offer excellent simplicity of use. After getting over the first nerves of climbing onto the elliptical machine, they can come to be quite fun to work with. The motion is very smooth and it's built to work together with your natural step whilst delivering support for your entire body. Due to the resistance training aspect, a treadmill might still be more effective for lots of people for purely losing weight, nonetheless the elliptical trainer is superior in providing a whole body exercise routine and increasing muscle while doing so.
If you're considering investing in a home elliptical cross trainer and you have never purchased household workout equipment before, ensure that you check out a couple of retailers first to try out the different options available.

Although you may intend to get your new elliptical exercise machine on the net, trying before buying can help make sure you find the ideal elliptical trainer within your budget.

It is best to find an elliptical trainer that matches your stride and supports your whole body while giving you sufficient resistance to offer a good training session. The last thing you should consider will be the guarantee period offered. How willing a business will be to stand behind their system is a superb signal of the level of quality that you can expect in your new elliptical trainer.

Body Sculpture BE5920 Fan Elliptical

By Mrs. J. E. Thomas
... though it's going to hurt in the morning!

We're forty-somethings who've always done a lot of walking but that's been about it, partly due to back problems necessitating low-impact exercise.

I decided to buy a cross-trainer, mostly for its cardio-vascular benefits. We looked at several much more expensive machines, but they were all either too big for me (5'6"), meaning that I was uncomfortably leaned forward, or too small for my husband (6'1"), meaning that he was bashing his knees on the uprights. We were reluctant to spend so much money on something that only one of us could benefit from. Also, they were often HUGE - our house isn't small, but space would have been an issue.

So we decided to try this one, because it was inexpensive if only one of us (most likely me) could use it comfortably, and we wouldn't feel it was too much money wasted if our enthusiasm waned. Also it looked a bit more compact, which was also a plus.

It arrived in good shape yesterday, and the husband assembled it today. Generally easy, with well marked components, as has been said before. But we did notice one bit (the pedal hinge bolt) where we thought the written instructions were misleading and contrary to our instinct as to where a washer should go. If in doubt it's best to look at the exploded diagram (which confirmed our hunch).

We found it to be advisable to protect the area around the machine with newspaper for its first use, as we did get one large dollop of grease out - luckily it hit the radiator, not the carpet!

We've both tried it. It seems very robust, smooth and acceptably quiet in use and, much to our surprise, it works for both of us with our differing sizes.

We found it quite hard work to start with, which probably shows that we need it! As I said at the start, I think I might hurt in the morning! There's plenty of scope to increase the resistance and time, so it should still provide a good workout once we're a bit fitter.
Overall very pleased with our purchase, which was much better than we expected for the money.
